Co-Pastor, Dr. Shirley Brooks, A native of Roanoke, VA., is the wife of Pastor Joseph Brooks and first lady of New Hope Christian Ministries. She has served in several capacities as an exemplary leader and an example of a virtuous woman.

Dr.  Brooks received her undergraduate degrees from Virginia State University, Petersburg, Virginia (Bachelor of Science, Business Education – Cum Laude) and Fredericksburg Bible Institute, Fredericksburg, Virginia (Bachelor of Theology).  She received her Master of Religious Education from Fredericksburg Bible Institute, Fredericksburg, Virginia and her Doctor of Ministry from Andersonville Theological Seminary, Camilla, Georgia.

Currently, Dr.  Brooks lends her service and talent to many areas. She serves on the Board of Directors for New Hope Christian Ministries, and she is the head of several ministries and organizations.

Dr.  Brooks has honed her skills in the capacity of First Lady-God has given her the gift, and she has mastered the art of church administration and the significance of Christian education. While serving as First Lady at New Hope, Dr.  Brooks has assisted her husband and pastor in birthing ministries in the church and founded WISDOM: Women In Spirit Dedicated to Our Ministry;a women’s ministry that works to teach, encourage and guide women to a more intimate relationship with Christ and to advance the Kingdom of God through service within and beyond their inner circles.

Dr. Brooks’ mission is to win souls for Jesus Christ, bring reconciliation to those who have strayed away and minister to the special needs of women.
