STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe the Holy Scriptures, the bible is the infallible word of God and is therefore without error and is eternally reliable in all matters of Christian faith and practice.  The scriptures shall not be added to, superseded, or changed by later tradition or revelation.  Every doctrinal formation, whether of creed, confession or theology, must be put to the test of the full counsel of God as revealed in the scriptures consisting of 66 books, from Genesis to Malachi in the Old Testament and from Matthew to Revelation in the New Testament.  The New Testament does not destroy the Old Testament but fulfills it through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

We believe that the father, the son and the Holy Spirit are the one triune and only eternal God, the creator, Savior, and Messiah.

We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance, faith in the precious blood of Jesus Christ and being baptized in water.  We believe that regeneration by Holy Ghost is absolutely essential for personal salvation.

We believe that we are saved by grace through faith.

We believe the Holy Spirit is the active presence of God in the world and in the hearts and lives of God’s people.  The spirit of God brings about conviction of sin and the hearts and lives of believers.

Also, the Holy Spirit empowers the Christian to live out his/her faith, provides assurance of salvation for the believer, and bestows upon the believer spiritual gifts for ministry.
